The AjA x AOY Art Space (Kul) is a communal hub crafted by and for the community. Named ‘Kul’- for its Arabic roots meaning togetherness, community, and unity, it embodies the joint mission of AOY and AjA: collective action and community spirit. Situated in the heart of City Heights, Kul provides a sanctuary for San Diego’s creatives, offering a platform to address pressing issues like gentrification, immigration, surveillance, and mental health through meaningful art.

This multi-purpose creative space will showcase justice-driven artworks curated from the vibrant talented pool within our city. More than a gallery, Kul is a home where everyone is welcome to engage, find community, and above all, create. Our collaboration aims to ignite the creative spark and momentum you’ve been longing for. Welcome to Kul—where creativity meets community. Where together, we reshape City Heights.
