People + Places
The People + Places Project is an object-making workshop that provides an inclusive space for communities to share stories about who they are and the places they live.

How it Works
Draw Yourself
Participants begin by drawing their self-portraits on paper. They’re encouraged to explore how they want the world to see them.
Print and Sew
Each drawing contributed to the project is transferred to fabric and sewn into a homemade toy for participants to keep.
Record a Message
Participants record their story onto a special recording device that gets sewn into each toy. Hug the toy to hear a story about the person and the place they live.
